It is sitting on my bookshelf and I paid for it, not a review copy. Jim's book is excellent and I've said that many, many times. Caveat: I have not yet tried the new Dreamweaver CS3 I'm still on Dreamweaver MX, so I can't honestly make a straightforward comparison between EW2 and Dreamweaver CS3. However, having at one time or another used everything from Notetab Pro to AceHTML and CoffeeCup HTML Editor, to Dreamweaver MX, Visual Web Developer, and now Expression Web, I'm going to have to give the nod to Expression Web for ease of learning while providing the power to drive todays Internet sites and applications. ![]() To tell you the truth, in today's Web, with all of its myriad technologies and possibilities, no authoring software which provides full access to the richness of the Web can be described as "easy" to learn. It is fundamentally a content contribution tool for those who do not do Web development. The licensing model can be prohibitively expensive, among other issues you will wish to take into account.
